Company Conversion Web Suite
Here is a suite of custom tools built to help a company convert all the major facets of one ERP system to another.
This tool was used to convert parts from one company to parts in the other company. Input was from an Excel spreadsheet. Data was filled out by pulling live data from each company's ERP system. You save the page of conversions for processing later, by a background Window's service that actually updates both ERP systems automatically without ever touching either system.
This custom tool was created to allow a user on the tax team to quickly merge and validate existing tax certificates from one company to another. Manually this was taking days to complete, but with this tool and a complimentary Windows service powering it, the time was reduced to minutes.

Miscellaneous Web Projects
This tool is used to convert delimited files into formatted flat text files for use in other processes.
This is the tool the Data Wrangler software uses to create the file layouts consumed by the Data Wrangler software.
This tool was built to allow the user to see text files that FedEx sent to another process each night. This tool also matched lines to entries in a SQL database to add extra important information to each line.
This tool is used to convert delimited files into formatted flat text files for use in other processes.

This tool was built to mimic the TSO editor once used to view and edit Mainframe programs. Once the company converted to MicroFocus it became difficult to simply bring up a read only version of a program, copybook, or JCL. I built this application so the user could still use the familiar PF Keys and some other keyboard combinations to quickly get to the folders that held the source code. It quickly became a go to tool for our shop.
Here you can configure where the app will go to look for source code, copybook code, JCL code, etc. You can also set the app to show a ruler bar or act as an editor.
This tool was created to allow the user to reliably send multiple text files to any WebSphere MQ queue. Since this company used MQ series so much it became quite useful to be able to do this since none of the MQ tools they had did this very well.

Excel Macros
I built this tool over a decade ago before I had access to VB to create Oracle table create scripts, Loader scripts, and a file layout record for analyzing the data flat file to be loaded to the new Oracle table. This allowed me to analyze, create the Oracle table, and load it using the Oracle loader utility quickly and easily. It was basically a code generator.

Created a nightly process to accept Purchase Order data from a Mainframe, UPS tracking data from UPS, and tracking data from FedEx. Matched PO's to the delivery data to create a freight file to update orders on the company's ERP system.

Modified and created new screens for a Windows style front end for our company's legacy system. Did screens for anything from order entry to bar-code labels.

Wrote many Windows services to pass data from flat files or WebSphere MQ queues to SQL Server databases or to create reports.

Created a "back out" process during a conversion from IBM Mainframe to Micro Focus virtual Mainframe that allowed our company to return to the IBM Mainframe in the event of a failure during conversion. Turned a process that was taking 22 hours down to 10.

Wrote code generator programs to create hundreds of JCL for a conversion from IBM Mainframe to MicroFocus turning weeks of coding into days.

Wrote code generator programs to create large COBOL programs used to export over 300 VSAM files for the same IBM Mainframe to MicroFocus conversion, again saving weeks of coding time and allowing quick and easy changes when required.

I built this tool over a decade ago to help out a friend that kept having to manually fix data from some third party database that spit out data files for his website database full of horizontal tabs and unprintable characters. I also have a batch version of this tool to process multiple files at a time.
This tool's default behavior is to replace any unprintable character found in a file. Sometimes some of those characters need to be left in. This is where you can set that rule.
This tool is a crude but effective program to visually see text to ASCII or Hex or Octal. It was built for displaying unprintable characters.

Did all maintenance, and upgrades to a hand held warehouse scanner system for five years. This included adding a Topaz signature pad to the system, WebSphere MQ series communication functionality and many modifications for the users.

Wrote software to connect a third party ERP software called VOS to an IBM Mainframe. This included reporting, data file creation, and backups. Communication was through WebSphere MQ Series and flat files.

Wrote software to read MQ Series data queues from a IBM Mainframe and formatted the data to feed a system called Stibo to attribute data for the company's web site.
